Iranian Garden

by bahar badaei

“Iranian Garden” is composed as a patchwork of nine small garden-scenes, like windows opening onto a single, imaginary landscape. Stylized birds, tulip-shaped flowers and a central pomegranate appear and reappear across the grid, echoing traditional Persian symbols of life, love and abundance. The strong reds and pinks, layered with softer greens and creams, recall the warmth of Persian carpets and old miniature paintings, while the simplified forms and clear outlines keep the work fresh and contemporary. The repetition of the same motifs with subtle changes in each square creates a gentle visual rhythm, suggesting the cycles of growth, song and renewal within a garden. Together, these squares form a unified tapestry: an intimate Iranian garden where memories, stories and nature coexist in a joyful, playful harmony.
