Iranian Garden

by bahar badaei

In this version of Iranian Garden, the composition again unfolds as a grid of nine small panels, but now the palette shifts to cool blues, greens and ivory, evoking the feeling of traditional Persian tiles. Birds, leaves, tulips and a central pomegranate appear as stylized emblems of life and renewal, each panel like a small ceramic tile taken from an old garden wall. The contrast between the luminous reds and the surrounding blues creates a vibrant dialogue between warmth and tranquility, suggesting water, shade and blossoms in an inner courtyard. Together, the squares form a serene, mosaic-like garden that celebrates both the elegance of Persian ornament and a contemporary, playful sensibility.
