Bagh

by Shabnam Kamal-Alavi

This piece is created through a unique fusion of digital art and antique mirror craftsmanship. Delicate floral motifs and birds are digitally illustrated, then meticulously transferred onto an aged mirror surface whose natural patina, oxidation, and time-worn texture become an integral part of the composition. The reflective background introduces depth, movement, and interaction with the surrounding space, allowing viewers to see themselves subtly within the artwork. The result is a poetic harmony of past and present—where contemporary digital expression meets the timeless character of antique mirrored glass.
