Noushin Valinejad is a realist and representational Iranian artist who began her artistic journey in 2001.
She received her initial painting training under Master Zahra Tarkaman, and in 2009, she entered the Pardaz Atelier of Master Majid Arouri — a distinguished student of Master Morteza Katouzian, one of the pioneers of modern realism in Iran. This marked the beginning of her professional path in oil painting, portraiture, and classical spatial representation.
Her artistic style blends Orientalist realism with classical European painting — works in which academic precision in drawing and color harmonizes with the poetic delicacy of Eastern perspective. Her paintings often feature historical architecture, traditional garments, and natural light, all playing a key role in reviving the cultural grandeur of the East.
Ms. Valinejad has participated in several group exhibitions in Iran, and her works have drawn attention from audiences and critics alike for their technical mastery and commitment to classical tradition. One of her paintings was published in the 2015 book *“110 Selected Paintings in Iran.”*
Another piece was featured in the international book *Arte Libre*, commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Arte Libre Gallery in Spain — a testament to the global presence of her work in the contemporary realist art scene.
In recent years, she has focused on reinterpreting classic Orientalist artworks by painters such as Gustav Bauernfeind and Ludwig Deutsch. Through a research-driven approach, she seeks to redefine the relationship between Eastern aesthetics and Western realist technique.
