I’m Sarvenaz Khorvash. I began painting with oil techniques at the age of 8. Under the guidance of Master Mehdi Alizadeh, I completed various courses including sketching, metal pen drawing, figurative design, portraiture, charcoal and conté drawing, and ink wash. I also participated in a two-year oil painting course focused on the Chardin style.
Our first group exhibition in the Chardin style, curated by Master Alizadeh, was held at Shafagh Cultural Center. I showcased two paintings in that exhibition — I was 12 years old and the youngest student in his studio.
At the same time, I studied figurative drawing and colored pencil techniques under Master Aidin Aghdashloo. I also completed a professional cinematic makeup course under Master Mehri Shirazi.
My academic background is in Chemical Engineering, specializing in Inorganic Chemical Industries. I taught painting for three semesters at my university (Islamic Azad University, Tehran North Branch) and organized a painting exhibition there. Additionally, I won first place in three national inter-university visual arts competitions.
My favorite style is Impressionism. From the beginning, my mentors taught me to see the world differently — a philosophy that has shaped my artistic life. I frequently use palette knife techniques in my paintings, which I find deeply enjoyable. I always strive to convey a sense of life to the viewer through warm tones, light, and color.
Recently, I’ve also been exploring abstract painting and gaining experience in this technique.
I’ve participated in numerous exhibitions, including:
Two group exhibitions at the Iranian Artists’ House
Two group exhibitions at Saba Cultural and Artistic Institute
Sa’dabad Palace
Iranian Art Garden Museum, along with a solo workshop
Kooshk Bagh-e Honar
Pinelo Art Gallery, Turkey
Arts Gallery, Turkey
Rosa Gallery, Turkey
Andisheh Cultural Center, and Kahfi and Entezami Galleries
